An amazing way to impress your Friends. Try making ice cubes out of edible flowers. These are absolutely amazing. And are sure to inspire anyone who is blessed to have one grace their spring tea. For these cubes I chose to make some plain ( out of water ) and some out of Elderberry and Hibiscus. I love to have dry herbs on hand at all to concoct tea from as this ensures no chemicals – always!
You will Need:
- 1 cup measure
- Ice cube trays
- Brewed tea of your choice
- Edible flowers
Gather some Edible flowers – some great examples are:
- Borage
- Candulla
- Arugula
- Camomile
- Comfrey
- Here is a more complete list
Brew a batch of tea of your choice. I made Elderberry & Hibiscus as it was a nice dark pink. But any tea will do! To Make 2 Cups of Elderberry & Hibiscus Tea:
- Add 2 Cups water to a pot
- Add 1/2 tbsp of hibiscus flowers
- 1 tsp elderberry ( this is enough as it is strong!)
- Brew 10 min and allow to steep until tea reaches the color you like
- Cool
To assemble:
- Line your trays with flowers
- Fill 1/2 with warm water
- and 1/2 with warm tea
- Freeze & Enjoy!
